Okay, I know I’m only on #3 and I’m adding something outside of Alameda, but if you haven’t checked this out, you’re missing something pretty spectacular.
Oakland Zoo has once again decked out the majority of it’s walkways and meadows in thousands of LED lights. It’s a family friendly event filled with familiar festive music, a meadow light show, and an atmosphere that will put the holiday spirit into your step. Thousands of LED lights shine in the night sky in the form of animals, candy canes, lollipops, and good ole St. Nick.
Get the family together, be sure to dress in warm clothes, and come on out to the Oakland Zoo for an evening filled with good cheer. See Santa, take a train ride on the Outback Express Adventure Train, and mingle through a festival of lights. ZooLights 2010 is a family tradition you don’t want to miss!
ZooLights runs December 3, 2010 – January 2, 2011. Exception: ZooLights will be closed December 24 & 25.
